Katherine O'Malley, associate artist with Liz Roche Company, will lead a professional dance class while at Dance Limerick for her residency to develop her new solo work "Three Parts Grace".
Katherine's class draws on a number of dance techniques and movement practices. It is mostly influenced by a release style and its structure mixes both set and improvised sequences. Katherine focuses on re-establishing and affirming natural body alignment and movement, developing a more global physical awareness and organisation. The class draws on the body's natural weight and momentum while encompassing the lightness and interpretative possibilities of movement language.
