Dance Limerick Studio

€40.00 per term (6 weeks), payable on the first day of the new term

Due to considerable demand (!) we have started a new Dance Club for 9-14yr olds on Saturdays from 1pm-2pm.
Combining contemporary, creative techniques with hip hop and jazz dance styles, this energetic class draws inspiration from a variety of music styles, from pop to electronic to rock. Participants will learn routines and develop techniques for expressing themselves while, at the same time, improving strength and fitness. This class is suitable for boys and girls of any ability.

Teacher: Lucy Dawson is a contemporary dance artist, photographer and film-maker from Scotland. She holds a degree from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and an MA in Contemporary Dance Performance from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at UL. Lucy aims to provide students with challenging, creative classes and to enable students to develop skills to express their individuality through movement.

New season:
Saturdays | 1pm-2pm | Dance Limerick Studio
Fee: €40 (6-week term)
Please note: Class will finish up for the season on Saturday 06 Dec and will re-commence on Saturday 17 Jan 2015.

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
