Dance Classes for People Aged 55+ with Lucy Dawson. A creative, contemporary movement class that aims to increase body awareness, mobility and freedom of movement in a relaxed environment for all abilities. Participants will also experience improved flexibility, and strength while dancing to different styles of music. Bring a partner or come alone and meet like minded friends and dance lovers. No previous experience necessary. Drop in and pay on the door.

ABOUT LUCY DAWSON
Lucy Dawson is a Contemporary Dance Artist, Photographer and Film Maker from Keith in Scotland. She began her dance training at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in Dundee, and then continued on to The Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, where she received her BPA in Contemporary Dance Performance. Lucy has been teaching for over 10 years and is currently in Limerick, having recently completed the MA Contemporary Dance Programme at The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.

Lucy's main aim in her teaching is always to provide students with challenging, creative classes, and skills that will enable them to express their individuality through movement.

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
