Perhaps you took class as a child, or maybe you always wanted to. This class will focus on the basics of ballet technique building a vocabulary of steps and constructing sentences with what we have learned. Your legs probably won’t touch your ears, but you will develop strength and co-ordination. No previous experience necessary.

Nora Rodríguez (Mexico) graduated with a Bachelor of Contemporary Dance from The Superior School of Music and Dance of Monterrey. Nora has been co-director of the independent contemporary dance project, CRÍAS Contemporary Scene, since 2009. Nora was recently one of six selected dancers to join the Step Up: Dance Project, a partnership between the Arts Council, Dance Ireland and the University of Limerick, working with Choreographers John Scott (Ire) and Marguerite Donlon (Ire/Ger). Parallel to her work as a choreographer/performer, Nora has been involved in the development of social and communitarian programs such as Main Tutor in the program “Learning with Dance” which strives to instil respect, teamwork and individuality through music and dance in under-served public schools in Monterrey city, 2011-2012.

"I just love this class because it's so relaxing. Nora can really cater to all levels" (Class Participant).
