A very popular class at Dance Limerick, this class is suitable for those with some recent experience of ballet.

This ballet class works on developing posture, flexibility, musicality, balance and movement co-ordination while building on the basic rudiments of ballet. It consists of a gentle warm up, followed by a classical ballet barre (exercises specifically designed for warming up the body and improving technique, precision and posture). This is followed by exercises in the centre, away from the barre, which focus on balance, posture and co-ordinating music with movement. The class finishes with a warm-down and gentle stretch to improve flexibility and breath control.

There are multiple benefits of training in classical ballet: It enhances the body-mind connection and awareness, develops strength and flexibility and makes the dancer more sensitive to rhythm and coordination with the music.

Come and join this lovely class!
