Saturdays (from 24 Sept), 2pm-4pm

Limerick Youth Dance is a great opportunity for young people who have a passion for dance to develop as a dancer, to create new dance pieces and to perform on stage and screen.

For the new term (from Sept 2016) Limerick Youth Dance will create a new dance theatre piece inspired by themes from Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant to be performed in December.

Joining Limerick Youth Dance means…
– making a commitment to be part of a dance ensemble,
a group of people dedicated to dance projects
– participating in weekly workshops
– meeting other young dancers

Fee Per Term: €110.00

Teacher: Angie Smalis trained and worked professionally as a dance artist in her home country of Greece before moving to Vienna, Austria in 2001 to join the Volksoper Wien. Angie relocated to Limerick in 2003 to join Daghdha Dance Company. She is Artistic Director of Limerick Youth Theatre and Director of Patterns Dance Collective, a group of contemporary dance artists with intellectual disabilities. Angie is also a proud mother of 5!
