Dance Limerick


€5 per session

Do you enjoy dancing? Would you like to try something new?

Come join The High Kicks of Limerick, an ensemble of dancers aged 50+ led by choreographer Kristyn Fontanella.

Learn new moves and enjoy a social dance all while listening to the greatest hits of past decades including The Beach Boys and Tina Turner. The emphasis with these classes will be on having fun! The project will culminate in a performance around the theme of ‘Summer Holidays’ in Dance Limerick's Performance Space in John's Square.

Sessions (€5 each):

Thurs 12 & Fri 13 April
Thurs 19 & Fri 20 April
Thurs 26 & Fri 27 April
Thurs 3 & Fri 4 May
Thurs 10 & Fri 11 May
Thurs 17, Fri 18 & Sat 19 May

The project will culminate in a performance on
Sunday 20 May at 3pm.

No upper age limit - No experience necessary

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
