CULTURE NIGHT AT DANCE LIMERICK, FRI 16 SEPT
Join us in the heart of Limerick’s Cultural Quarter for a feast of music, dance and film. From dance class tasters for adults to a showcase performance by some of our finest young artists, Dance Limerick is the place to be on Culture Night. We’ve had fantastic celebrations with great crowds in recent years, so don’t miss out!

6.00pm-7.15pm | Dance Limerick Studio:
Free Contemporary Dance Class for Adults, with Mary Nunan
This free taster class provides an opportunity for participants to develop the skill and confidence to dance with ease. With renowned choreographer and dance artist Mary Nunan. All welcome.
Dance Limerick Space (St John’s Church)
6pm-9pm | Fresh Film Festival
Fresh Film Festival will be in residence screening short films by young people (7-18yrs) throughout the evening in the main church space and upstairs in the nest.
6pm | Scoil Rince Uí Ruairc
Irish dance performances by Scoil Rince Uí Ruairc, which has been active in Limerick city since 1929.
6.30pm | Limerick Youth Dance
Screening of the beautiful, atmospheric dance film Stoixeia/Elements by Limerick Youth Dance, which premiered at Light Moves Festival of Screendance in 2015 and reached the final of Fresh Film Festival 2016.
7.00pm | BA in Voice & Dance
Students of the BA in Voice and Dance at UL will perform original contemporary dance pieces, choreographed by Lisa McLoughlin and Catherine Young.
7.30pm | Fresh Film Festival
Screening short films by young filmmakers from Limerick and beyond.
8.00pm | Light Moves Festival of Screendance Student Prize-Winning Film
Screening Release by Conor O’Brien, joint winner of the Outstanding Student Work Award at Light Moves 2015.
8.15pm | Music Generation
Music Generation showcase the talents of young songwriters, rappers and musicians from across the city. Experience these emerging young artists performing their own works.
